The title track, a full-band rendition of Magnus Pelander's 2012 solo track, is a nice departure, hitting a mellow, soulful note that retains the band's trademark melancholy. We also get a superior re-recording of the Idag track “Drömmen om död och förruttnelse,” a typically mournful solo acoustic piece ("Even Darker Days") and a fuzzy, reverb-laden doom dirge that sees Pelander handling all the instruments himself ("Själen Reser Sig"). It kind of feels like an odds and ends collection, but taken on their own merits each of these tracks has something to offer. If you're a fan of Pelander's long-running retro-doom project, consider this a hearty recommendation.
