The world's smallest orchestra of shakuhachi and marimba, "Fujiwara Dozan x SINSKE," celebrates its 5th anniversary with the release of its best album! Fujiwara Dozan (shakuhachi player) is active in a wide range of genres in addition to traditional Japanese music as a young leading pioneer of the shakuhachi's new appeal, and SINSKE (marimba player) freely manipulates a 5-octave marimba to play melodies with a unique world view. The two artists, who have walked different paths, have collaborated with each other in live performances, concerts, recordings, and various other occasions, and they agreed that "shakuhachi and marimba alone should be able to create a variety of sounds like an orchestra," and started touring as the "World's Smallest Orchestra with Shakuhachi and Marimba" in 2011. Their performances have matured over the years and have become so popular that they have sold out concerts all over Japan. This is the first time to sell the best of the best album, selected by the artists themselves, which they want you to listen to only because of the 5th anniversary.It includes "BOLERO ~ for Shakuhachi and Marimba~" (composed by Ravel and arranged by Fujiwara Dozan and SINSKE), which is their theme song that triggered their activities, as well as a new recording of their original piece "Kumikyoku 'Fujin x Raijin'" which was a big hit when it was performed on NTV's "Shin Yusabure! The album includes a new recording of the original piece "Suite 'Fujin x Raijin'," which was performed on NTV's "Senpai ROCK YOU" and attracted a great deal of attention, as well as a variety of classical music, songs, and Japanese songs.
