I love a pretty piece of antique treenware but mostly hold off (in no small part due to prices), but the curvaceous form and rich color and patina on this small lidded jar, together with that perfect little button of a handle at the center of the lid, were just too lovely to resist. Early 19th century British, I believe, and I'd guess made as a jar for a fairly precious spice, though I'm not entirely certain about that. Perfect now filled with a handful of diamonds, ha! 

1 1/4” t x 2 9/16” d and in beautiful antique condition, no chips, cracks or other issues, gorgeous patina and lid fits perfectly.
