"PALISADE" -Photograph of crystalline phenylethylamine found in chocolate"Palisade" is reminiscent of a rocky cathedral, bathed in rich golds and golden amber of a setting sun. The phenylethylamine crystals, a substance found in chocolate, were grown on a glass microscope slide by evaporation of a solution., then photographed through a microscope. The crystals create the colors by the refraction of light passing through the prism like crystal array.
