Babassu oil is a light yellow to clear oil extracted from the kernels of the Attalea speciosa palm tree, native to Brazil and the Amazon region. It has a mild, clean, and slightly nutty aroma, and is valued for its high content of lauric acid, myristic acid, and antioxidants. It is also known as Brazilian Palm Oil and is traditionally used by indigenous communities for skin and hair nourishment.
