This fantastic vintage Picture Book Of Diesel and Steam Trains contains full-colour portraits of (mostly) famous engines on each page, all with a few lines of explanation. Contents: Night Express leaving King's Cross for Scotland; the Brighton Bell; Deltic "Shamrock" diesel electric; The Merside Express; Locomotive E5000, the "Night Ferry" express; the Duke of Gloucester; "Sir Brian Robertson, the D800 hydraulic locomotive; a new aluminum train for London's Underground; The "Dwight D. Eisenhower" to Scotland; The "Royal Scot" et cetera. This book is in very good condition over all, which is amazing considering it is now over 58 years old, the front and back covers are nice, bright and colourful, with only some very minor signs of wear on the edge tips, but the front cover is bowed slightly. The spline is also in very good solid condition again with only minor signs of wear on the top and bottom edges. Internally the book is in very good condition, all pages are present and attached, they are all clean and bright without any form of writing or damage or markings on any page .
