A set of 20 titles of authentic literature originally written in Spanish, reading levels S through Y!  These titles will expose students to authentic voices and the rich cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.  Unlike translated works, authentic literature stays true to the natural way of speaking and writing Spanish.  All books come leveled because we want students to be able to choose titles for themselves, and read them immediately.

Authentic literature is a powerful way to expose readers to figurative language, cultural practices and local traditions.  Authentic literature is a vehicle for a different way of thinking, a new set of norms that authors communicate through their writing.  We've curated a collection that supports language equity, where all variations of Spanish are represented and respected.
