In 2022 I was fortunate to take part in the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year competition as a wild card competitor which was held at the Royal Ascot Races.  I was overjoyed to watch the legend, Frankie Dettori ride Inspiral to an impressive victory.

This painting depicts the power and athleticism of a race horse charging down the track, evoking the thrill and excitement of the sport.

The rich deep colours of the horse and rider stand out from the glorious gold backdrop.  Gold leaf sparkles in bright light and glows in lower light, oozing luxury and elegance.
