Gorgeous hand-painted (one by one!) Steal Your Face batik design on a nice halter neck crop top. NOTE: there is no batik design on the back of the shirt, just the hand-dyed color with beautiful organic patterning from the dye bath.

Our classic tight-fitting crop top style, designed to be worn in place of a bra— they hug you kind of like a thin sports bra, but in soft, made in the USA cotton. Wonderful with a summer breeze on your skin and birdsong all around you... enjoy! Sizes S-XL available. Important: these are cut small, and sewn with cotton thread, which will break if you force it over your head or elbows. Please size up. No exchanges for broken threads. 

These are SUPER stretchy! Wonderful for yoga, acro, pole, dance, etc. Slim fit designed for movement. Will not shift when you're inverted. 92% cotton, 8% stretch. Sewn with cotton thread. Made to fit pretty snugly!

We make these to order, so you can choose your background color, size, etc. Every single piece is batiked a little differently. The basic design stays the same from shirt to shirt but details like dots and splatters vary!

Please note that since these are made to order, we will ship 1-2 weeks after receiving the order. Batiked designs take multiple days to complete.

The wax creates a resist for the dye, resulting in beautiful crackles of color.

Pre-shrunk and fade-proof!

They are created using the same professional fiber-reactive dyes we use for all of our garments. You can expect machine washable, dryer safe, fade-proof clothing for years to come!

ABOUT OUR DYES

Fiber reactive (“low impact”) dyes have a higher than average absorption rate (around 80% depending on the color). Less water is required in the rinsing process, and less dye runs off in the water. These dyes have a lower impact on the environment than other synthetic dyes.

Low-impact dyes do not contain heavy metals (like chrome, copper and zinc), and they don’t require toxic chemical mordants to fix them to the fiber. We use soda ash, a cousin of baking soda! 

Colors on your screen will not represent a perfect match to each dye job. Hand dyed fabrics are created anew with each garment so colors are approximate. That’s the true beauty of hand dyed!
