Waxing can be added to help the laces stay tighter. I have had good luck just doing a single knot when waxed. If laces aren't waxed they will need to be double knotted.

Waxing will affect the color of the laces,  it typically darkens the colors and can leave a tacky/waxy feeling and tend to make the laces stiffer. It will take away any shine or luster the laces have.  Think of how wet jeans look compared to dry jeans. There are two options for waxing:

1. The entire lace can be waxed
2. The ends can be waxed (standard is the last 12 inches of the laces). I recommend having the ends waxed on laces that have a shine or luster, in order to maintain the original look of the lace going up the boot. If you'd like less than 12" for your end waxing, please notate the desired length in the notes section during checkout. 

Sizing:  I always recommend measuring your existing laces and adjust as needed. All boots and bodies are different. Here are the most popular sizes for boots, although you can be different.

6"boots-52"-56" laces

8" boots-63"-72" laces

10"boots-78"-84" laces
